The new natural playground surrounding Colene Hoose Elementary School in Normal is nearing completion and is now open for use. A public grand opening event is set for October.

Unit 5's Colene Hoose Elementary School broke ground on the new world-class playground designed by Danish architect Helle Nebelong. The new playground will teach kids to care about the environment long term by exposing them now.

In addition to the money, donor Charlie Jobson presented Unit 5 with what he called a “dream team” of international experts to lead the natural playground project.
