Student Athlete Mental Health Week starts Saturday, and Illinois State University has plans for every day of the week. WGLT spoke to ISU Athletics embedded counselor Lindsay Maxson, who helped develop the programming.

Illinois State University athletes are getting access to round-the-clock health care services through the school’s recent partnership with OSF Healthcare.

It's been 24 years since the Illinois State University men's basketball team went to the NCAA tournament back in 1998. Athletic Director Kyle Brennan said Monday during a news conference introducing Ohio State Assistant Coach Ryan Pedon as the new Redbird coach, that he thinks he has found the person to bring the program back to prominence.
