A Bloomington man was killed in a motorcycle crash early Tuesday along U.S. Route 51 in Macon County.
Macon County Coroner Michael Day says Edgar J. Bailey, 44, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash shortly before 8 a.m. Bailey's motorcycle collided with a semi-truck near the intersection of Route 51 and Wise Road in Hickory Point Township north of Forsyth.
The coroner said Bailey died of massive head and body trauma.
Illinois State Police are investigating the crash. Day said in an inquest is pending.
