A 59-year-old Indiana man was killed Monday in a crash involving two SUVs in a rural part of eastern McLean County, authorities said.

Scott Mcilrath of Kokomo, Ind., was the driver and sole occupant of one of the SUVs that collided with another around 5:15 p.m. Monday near McLean County 1600 North and 4000 East roads. That's about 30 miles east of Bloomington, in Anchor Township.

Mcilrath was pronounced dead at the scene, from apparent blunt injuries, according to the McLean County coroner's office.

The driver of the other SUV was a juvenile male, who was treated and released from the hospital, authorities said.

The McLean County sheriff's department and coroner's office are investigating the crash.
