The victim of a car crash Monday evening near Downs has been identified as 62-year-old Stanley Miller of Crystal Lake, Illinois. Crystal Lake is a northwest Chicago suburb in McHenry County.
According to the McLean County coroner's office, Miller lost control of his vehicle at 8:44 p.m. Monday while driving alone on Illinois Route 150, west of 2325 East Road in Downs. Miller swerved off the roadway and crashed. He was wearing a seatbelt.
Authorities pronounced Miller dead at the scene due to multiple injuries related to the crash. Toxicology test results are not yet available.
