The collision happened about 3 miles north of Danvers.

A 57-year-old Boston man has died after being struck by a car while riding a bike near Danvers over the weekend.

The McLean County coroner’s office says Lloyd Young died from multiple blunt injuries from the collision. Toxicology testing is pending.

Young was riding a bike Saturday near 500 East and 1950 North Road, between Carlock and Danvers northwest of Bloomington-Normal. McLean County sheriff's deputies were called to the scene around 2:49 p.m. Saturday for a report of a 54-year-old woman driving a 2017 Nissan sedan that struck a bicyclist.

Young was taken Carle BroMenn Medical Center in Normal, where he was pronounced dead. The McLean County Accident Reconstruction Team was also called to the scene.

The incident remains under investigation.
