A Bloomington man has pleaded guilty to multiple charges in connection with a crash that killed his girlfriend.

McLean County court records indicate Michael Mitchell, 26, reached a plea agreement with prosecutors for his role in the Nov. 3, 2024 crash near Fox Creek and Beich roads in Bloomington.

Chakquia Echols, 27, of Normal died in the crash. She was a passenger in one of the two vehicles involved.

Mitchell pleaded guilty to four counts: failure to report an accident or death, unlawful use of weapons by a felon and two counts of aggravated drunk driving. Twelve other charges, including reckless homicide, were dropped in the plea agreement. The driver of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries in the crash.

Mitchell is scheduled to be sentenced by McLean County Judge Don Knapp on April 30.
