Normal Police lined crime scene tape along several homes and apartment buildings in the 700 block of Franklin Avenue as they investigate a shooting in which six people were injured early Sunday morning.

Normal Police said Tuesday the six victims in last weekend’s mass shooting near the Illinois State University campus are all in stable condition.

The six victims were all hospitalized with undisclosed injuries. The shooting happened in an apartment parking lot in the 700 block of Franklin Avenue around 2:40 a.m. Sunday.

The victims are between 17 and 19 years old. Two of the victims are ISU students. Four of the people shot are from Bloomington-Normal.

The shooting happened at the site of a large party in the off-campus residential neighborhood. Police have not provided information about the circumstances surrounding the shooting, but have described it as an isolated incident. Normal Police Chief Steve Petrilli has refused repeated requests for an interview.

No arrests have been made in the case.

Police have asked the public’s help as they investigate the incident. They ask anyone who has home security camera footage, cell phone photos or videos, dash camera recordings or social media posts or messages that be related to the incident to call the Normal Police Department at 309-454-9535.
