Coroner IDs 20-Year-Old Shooting Victim In Bloomington

Bloomington Police are seeking the public's help as they invetigate a shooting in 1600 block of Iowa Street on Monday afternoon.

McLean County Coroner Kathy Yoder has released the name of the Bloomington man who was shot and killed Monday afternoonin a west Bloomington neighborhood.
Yoder said Jaleel Johnson, 20, died from a gunshot wound to the head, based on a preliminary autopsy opinion.

Two other men, ages 22 and 27, were hospitalized in critical condition after the shooting that happened around 3:30 p.m. in the 1600 block of Iowa Street, about a block from Sunnyside Park.

Police haven't made any arrests or named any suspects in the case.

If you want to remain anonymous, you also can call McLean County Crime Stoppers at (309) 828-1111. Tips that lead to an arrest and indictment are eligible for a reward up to $1,000.
