SUV Driver Dies In Crash Near Chenoa

Police are investigating a fatal crash near Chenoa.

UPDATED 3:30 P.M. | McLean County Coroner Kathy Yoder said a Chenoa man was killed in a crash involving a sport utility vehicle and a tractor trailer Thursday afternoon east of Chenoa.
Yoder said her office was notified of a death at 5:06 p.m. near the intersection of U.S. Route 24 and North 3050 East Road.

Yoder said the driver of the SUV, Shawn Moore, 32, was pronounced dead at the scene and was the only occupant in the vehicle. Authorities have not disclosed information about the tractor trailer driver.

Yoder said Moore died of multiple blunt injuries, based on preliminary autopsy findings. 

Her office and State Police are investigating the crash.
