The Bloomington City Council will have a special meeting on Monday to talk about censuring council member Jenn Carrillo.
The 5:15 p.m. meeting is a response to Carrillo's social media posts after the April 6 election that threatened to make the lives of two newly elected council members who defeated candidates Carrillo backed a "living hell" for the next two years.
The agenda also includes several other topics: collaboration on the city council, a call for increased civil discourse, and potentially directing staff to draft a code of conduct for future consideration by the council.
The virtual meeting is ahead of the council's regular meeting at 6 p.m. as a committee-of the-whole work session.
Carrillo made statements at the council's meeting this week that indicated criticism from Mayor-elect Mboka Mwilambwe about her post-election comments rested lightly on her.
