InternVivienne Hughes started as a digital and student reporting intern at WGLT in May 2025. She has worked with Illinois State University media outlets such as WZND and TV-10 News. Additionally, she is the editor-in-chief of ISU’s student paper, The Vidette.
From light-hearted activities to full-on community protests, Vivi has gained experience in multiple reporting scenarios. She utilizes the coverages to help craft a pathway to becoming a general assignment reporter in Chicago after graduating in spring 2026.
