A 28-year-old man died early Wednesday morning in a one-vehicle crash south of Colfax, authorities said.
McLean County Coroner Kathy Yoder and Sheriff Jon Sandage issued a joint news release indicating the crash happened on County Road 3400 East near 1800 North Road.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:45 a.m. He was the only person in the vehicle, according to authorities. The coroner is withholding the name pending family notification.
The McLean County sheriff’s office, Colfax Fire Department and LeRoy Ambulance also were on the scene.
The incident remains under investigation by the coroner’s and sheriff’s offices.
