The McLean County coroner has identified the person killed in Friday's crash. It was Donald Adeyi, 36, of Powder Springs, Georgia. The preliminary autopsy opinion indicates Adeyi died from multiple blunt injuries due to a sport utility vehicle collision and crash. Toxicology testing is pending.

The crash remains under investigation.

The McLean County Coroner's Office says one person was killed in a two-vehicle crash Friday in west Normal.

Coroner Kathy Yoder said in a news release that one driver was ejected from their vehicle in a crash on Rivian Motorway at Electric Drive.

The crash happened around 6:44 a.m., according to Illinois State Police.

Police said an SUV and car were traveling north on Rivian Motorway when they collided in the right lane. The car lost control and overturned in the right ditch, ejecting the driver.

That driver was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.

The name of the victim has not been released pending family notification.

The crash remains under investigation by the coroner’s office and Illinois State Police.
