A pickup truck struck two bicyclists Monday morning near Evans Junior High in southeast Bloomington, sending both to the hospital. It was at least the second serious incident involving a bicyclist and vehicle in McLean County in the past few days.
Monday's incident happened around 10:40 a.m. along U.S. 150 near McLean County Road 1750 East, near Evans, State Police said.
The two bicyclists' names have not been released, and their condition is not known. State Police referred to it as a "serious" incident on Facebook.
Police shut down U.S. 150 until around 3 p.m. Monday as they cleared the scene. An investigation into what caused the collision is underway.
In a separate incident, a 57-year-old Boston man was struck and killed by a car while riding a bike near Danvers on Saturday.
