Woodford County authorities are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning on Interstate 39.
Woodford County Coroner Tim Ruestman said a vehicle driven by Lulije Cosentino, 49, of Dixon, was rear-ended by another vehicle on southbound I-39 about five miles south of Minonk. The crash happened shortly before 10 a.m.
Ruestman said Cosentino was pronounced dead at the scene at 11 a.m. He said others involved in the crash were transported to area hospitals by local EMS and Life Flight, but he did not specify how many were hospitalized.
The crash is under investigation by the the Woodford County Sheriff’s Department and the Woodford County coroner.
