A Bloomington man went before a judge Thursday afternoon to answer to charges stemming from a shooting Tuesday in which two people were hospitalized.
McLean County prosecutors charged Dominique Atwater, 26, with seven felony counts in connection with the shooting at an apartment in the 1700 block of Springfield Road.

A female shooting vicitm told police she was walking out of the building when the shooting started and she was struck in the leg, according to documents prosecutors presented in court.
A witness told authorities he was in an apartment with Atwater when "guys showed up and started shooting" and that Atwater started shooting back.
The witness said the other victim was shot in the hallway. He said he heard people trying to kick in his front door after after he opened it an unknown male suspect started shooting and struck the other victim.
Prosecutors say Atwater drove both shooting victims to the Advocate BroMenn Medical Center. Authorities have not released any information about the extent of their injuries.
Associate Judge Sarah Duffy set Atwater's bond at $200,000.
He is due back in court for an arraignment Aug. 23.
