Authorities said Monday that an 18-year-old pedestrian has died after being struck by a sport utility vehicle on Veterans Parkway last week.

Reginald L. Hubbert was reportedly walking near Veterans and Empire Street around 8:30 p.m. Thursday when he was struck by the SUV, said McLean County Coroner Kathy Yoder.

Hubbert was taken off life support Sunday. A preliminary autopsy indicates he died from head injuries. Toxicology testing is pending.

Yoder said the incident remains under investigation by her office and Bloomington Police.

At this time, no tickets have been issued and no arrests have been made, BPD spokesperson John Fermon said Monday.
