Authorities say pedestrian Rodney Arbuckle, 57, of Normal, was on a part of Veterans Parkway with no intersection or crosswalk.

A pedestrian has died after being struck by a vehicle on Veterans Parkway, between Oakland Avenue and Lincoln Street, on Wednesday night.

Each option is projected to make the corridor safer for drivers, pedestrians and cyclists. But it means slowing traffic, adding one to four minutes to the drive from Ireland Grove Road to Shepard Road.
