A Bloomington woman faces 40 years in prison after pleading guilty to first-degree murder charges for her role in the death of her boyfriend in November 2023.

Gabrielle Stine, 24, reached a plea agreement in McLean County court on Tuesday. She will be required to serve 100% of her sentence. Charges of aggravated kidnapping and residential burglary were dropped.

McLean County prosecutors said Stine told police a man had been shot and left in a ditch in rural McLean County. The victim, later identified as 31-year-old Jamere Bew of Bloomington, was found dead in a ditch in Funks Grove Township near U.S. Route 136. Authorities said Bew suffered multiple injuries, including gunshot wounds.

Prosecutors saidStine gave conflicting accounts of what happened. They determined she took photos and a video recording of Bew bound and bleeding before he was murdered. Stine identified Derek Siebring as the man who shot Bew and said Justin Kletz beat Bew with a baseball bat. Prosecutors said all three put Bew in Stine’s vehicle and drove him to a rural area where he was murdered.

Siebring and Kletz were arrested days after Bew’s killing. Siebring was sentenced in March to 65 years in prison after pleading guilty to first-degree murder charges. Kletz pleaded guilty to first-degree murder charges and faces sentencing Nov. 25.

Stine was arrested in June 2024 and had been held in pre-trial detention.
